Lost in the barrens The difference between the book and the movie is huge they missed out on some of the most important parts of the book. The first thing they didn’t have was they part were they meat Denikazy and the other chips the whole reason for what happened to them. They also changed how they became stranded in the first place, they didn’t have a gun like in the book, and they also didn’t kill the bear. Jamie and Awasin only spent a few nights out on the barrens. And I believe that they missed one of the most important parts of the book they didn’t meet Peetyuk which is one of the main characters in the next book. That is some of the differences in the movie from the book. If I would be able to remake the movie the biggest thing that I would make would be to make sure that they meet peetyuk and the other Eskimos, and at least make the ending when they arrive some what resemble the arrival in the book because the way they made it no one would be able to right the sequel. That is what I would change.
